How can I earn money with FriendsToRent?
You can earn money by responding to a request and informing the poster when and how you'd like to be paid. FriendsToRent does not take a commission from your earnings.
How old do I need to be to make money with FriendsToRent?
You must be 18 years of age. If you are younger than 18, you will require the consent of your parents or your legal guardian.
Is the money I earn subject to taxation?
Contact your local tax authority to find out how much tax-exempt income you may earn in a given year. Any money earned below this tax threshold is not subject to taxation. Once your earnings have exceeded the tax-free level of income in a given fiscal year, any extra money you earn becomes subject to taxation.
How do I protect my identity?
In order to protect your identity, we strongly recommend that you do not publish personal details - such as your first name, surname, address, e-mail addresses or telephone numbers - anywhere that it could be publicly viewed. We suggest that you use a nickname instead.
What should I do if I'm meeting a stranger for the first time?
If you're meeting a stranger or making an appointment with someone for the first time, make sure to inform a friend or relative of your plans and your location.
Only arrange to meet strangers in busy public locations where many other people are present.
Bring a mobile phone with you so that you are always reachable and can make calls if necessary.
Inform your client that you have told a friend or relative where you will be.
